They perform a highly-rated programme of light classical music by Mozart and pieces by the likes of Haydn, Beethoven, and Strauss throughout most of the year.

A ticket for the ensemble also includes entry to the Mozarthaus museum.

(Booking service provided by Tiqets.com*, who I am an affiliate of)

(Nothing on your dates? Check the Mozarthaus listings for details of forthcoming events. In the past, for example, I’ve spotted:

Concerts on the theme of sonatas for violin and piano (one date featured historical instruments)

A concert and evening complementing the theme of a concurrent special exhibition in the Mozarthaus

People sometimes ask me about the appropriate dress code for these and other classical concerts held in Vienna, so I put together some advice for you.

Don’t forget the Mozarthaus, along with the incorporated Mozart apartment, is worth a visit in its own right. The displays take you on a musical and biographical journey through Mozart’s time in Vienna.

How to get to the venue

The concerts take place in the very centre of town…just a few rolls of a chocolate marzipan Mozart ball from Stephansdom cathedral. A quick walk, for example, from Stephansplatz subway station (on the U1 and U3 lines) gets you there.

See the main museum article for travel tips.

Address: Domgasse 4, 1010 Vienna

Want to hear a piece by Mozart in the very building he composed it in?
