They ended each day at Montur &amp; Pulverdampf with a fire show, for example<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Trollferd, another group playing historical music as it was intended, from the late medieval through to early baroque<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dates, tickets &amp; tips<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I don&#8217;t have dates for any future edition at the time of writing: the host <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/sights\/museums\/heeresgeschichtliches\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"13073\">Museum of Military History<\/a> is undergoing redevelopment, and building work makes hosting large events impossible for the time being. The museum itself remains open, though.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Swords were drawn at the previous edition over the weekend of July 6th and 7th with opening times of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Saturday: 10am to 10pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sunday: 10am to 8pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Montur &amp; Pulverdampf usually happens in the rear grounds of the museum, and you need a ticket to get in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, entry is normally free if you&#8217;re wearing some kind of medieval costume. Though you probably won&#8217;t be packing your halberd and breastplate given airline excess baggage fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Incidentally, the same location commonly hosts an enormously-popular <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/sights\/christmasmarkets\/medieval-advent-market-2\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"21165\">Christmas market<\/a> for a few days during advent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to get to the event<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out the main article for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/sights\/museums\/heeresgeschichtliches\/\">Museum of Military History<\/a> for travel tips and subway\/tram suggestions.
