Look for the Marriott hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the <em>US embassy<\/em>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tram lines 37, 38, 40, 41 and 42 to Sensengasse (4 minute walk)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tram lines 5, 33, 37, 38 to <span class=\"text\">Nu\u00dfdorfer Str.\/Alserbachstr. (5 minute walk)<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tram lines 5, 33, 37, 38, 40, 41, 42 to <span class=\"text\">Spitalgasse (5 minute walk)<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tram line 1 and D to Bauernfeldplatz (7 minute walk)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bus 40A to Nu\u00dfdorfer Str.\/Alserbachstr. This is not open to the public in the conventional sense, but you can walk through its gardens, take a guided tour, or visit during the annual special art exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The consulate is a hop, skip and jump from lots of central attractions: just walk north to enter the old town, which has, for example, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/sights\/stefansdom\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"294\">cathedral<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/sightseeing\/hofburg\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"2708\">Hofburg<\/a> palace complex, pedestrianised routes and similar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Champions sports bar lives in the same building as the consultate and is a great place to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/entertainment\/sport\/football-pub-bar\/\">watch football matches<\/a> and US sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you prefer something more Viennese and traditional, then walk up the Parkring boulevard outside in either direction to find either <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/eatingdrinking\/cafespubsbars\/cafe-pruckel\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"10344\">Caf\u00e9 Pr\u00fcckel<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/eatingdrinking\/cafespubsbars\/cafe-schwarzenberg\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"20393\">Caf\u00e9 Schwarzenberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/straussmonument.jpg\" alt=\"The Strauss monument\" class=\"wp-image-44864\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/straussmonument.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/straussmonument-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-small-font-size\">(Johann Strauss II plays a golden violin just over the road)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The consulate&#8217;s other immediate neighbours include the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/accommodation\/fivestarhotels\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"18\">Palais Coburg<\/a> hotel (with the remains of city fortifications inside), the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/sights\/museums\/mak\/\">MAK<\/a> (Austrian Museum for&nbsp;Applied Arts) and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/sights\/stadtpark\/\">Stadtpark public park<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Stadtpark\u00a0contains, for example, the famous and photogenic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/sights\/strauss-monument\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"3271\">golden Johann Strauss<\/a> memorial and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/entertainment\/kursalon\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"5514\">the Kursalon<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Address &amp; website How to get to the US embassy The US consulate is very accessible, located on the main Ringstrasse encircling Vienna&#8217;s old centre.
