You sit in an actual small boat, which moves to add another dimension to the adventurous journey through (and above) parts of the city. A bubbly mix of VR, 5D cinema, moving sets, animatronics and more with a little bit of history thrown in to give it a veneer of education<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This takes you through notable events or Vienna-related themes, but the focus is on the entertainment part of infotainment. Like the boat ride with the empress, it&#8217;s also rather fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>P.S. Includes a multilingual audioguide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/transport\/future-bus-vr-tour\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"46044\">Future Bus<\/a>: I enjoyed this one. So check availability before going)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You wander through a series of rooms offering various degrees of immersion and interactivity. From giant ball pits to DIY light paintings.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/hausdermusik.jpg\" alt=\"Haus der Musik front\" class=\"wp-image-42269\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/hausdermusik.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/hausdermusik-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-small-font-size\">(Create your own waltz with the help of dice; one of many interactive elements at the House of Music)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/sights\/museums\/haus-musik\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"16237\">House of Music<\/a>: has various interactive stations. You can create your own Clong sound creature using a VR headset, for example, or conduct an orchestra that responds to your baton movements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I should add that members of that orchestra make dismissive comments should your efforts as a conductor fail to live up to their expectations. Controlling the Pong paddle doesn&#8217;t quite count as a full immersive experience, but a couple of VR headsets let you enter the modern era of the video game world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/entertainment\/madame-tussauds\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"35377\">Madame Tussauds<\/a>: the famous wax museum has interactive sections<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Take a VR journey inside a 1976 Mercedes 200 with the &#8220;Bergdoktor&#8221; (from the TV series) as your driver. Or experience a ski jump alongside Austrian ski star, Stefan Kraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"special\">Special events &amp; exhibitions<\/h4>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/marxhalle2.jpg\" alt=\"Windows of the Marx Halle venue with sign\" class=\"wp-image-63981\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/marxhalle2.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/marxhalle2-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-small-font-size\">(Look for immersive exhibitions in the Marx Halle)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vienna has become a stop for some of the immersive and\/or interactive exhibitions and events that have become popular around the world. All dates are provisional, as I find they often change\/extend according to demand:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/entertainment\/marx-halle\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"62019\">Marx Halle<\/a>, for example, has <em>The Legend of the Titanic<\/em> running until May 3rd, 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A highly-rated event at the time of writing is the the <em>Light of Creation<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiqets.com\/en\/vienna-attractions-c60335\/tickets-for-light-of-creation-new-immersive-lightshow-at-votive-church-vienna-p1109003\/?partner=visitingvienna&amp;tq_campaign=LG_VR\" rel=\"sponsored\">immersive light show<\/a>* inside the Votivkirche that continues until the end of September, 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Immersive Center in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/sights\/the-donauturm-danube-tower\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"4919\">Donauturm<\/a> has a <em>Machu Picchu<\/em> immersive exhibition running provisionally until May 24th<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>P.S.
