The regular Urban Food &amp; Design track, for example, explores new concepts in the realm of local food production, distribution, and consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A strong international flavour always runs through the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/mak2024.jpg\" alt=\"Front and main entrance of the MAK museum\" class=\"wp-image-75686\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/mak2024.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/mak2024-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-small-font-size\">(Design is a strong focus of the lovely <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/sights\/museums\/mak\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"7100\">MAK museum<\/a> on Stubenring)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The festival HQ shifts each year, and 2025 found it in the former workshops and showrooms of a car dealership on Wiedner Hauptstra\u00dfe in Vienna&#8217;s 4th district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The previous year, the HQ was in the DOCKS business complex (Landstra\u00dfer G\u00fcrtel 49 &amp; 51) within Village im Dritten: an ongoing large urban development project with an array of residential, business, educational and green spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the HQ hosts many activities, Design Week events take place throughout the city. Numerous partners contribute everything from exhibitions to one-off talks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So you have relevant museums like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/sights\/museums\/mak\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"7100\">MAK<\/a> or the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/sights\/museums\/imperial-furniture-collection\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"910\">Furniture Museum<\/a> participating, but also designers, commercial entities (Lobmeyr were on board in 2025, for example) and many other organisations and locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For full details of the festival and the wide-ranging programme, visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.viennadesignweek.at\/\">official website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2026 dates &amp; tickets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I don&#8217;t have 2026 details at the time of writing, other than the dates: September 25th to October 4th.
