Consider it a &#8220;Christmas&#8221; design &amp; lifestyle exhibition with sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Typically held indoors over the first weekend of the Advent season, the event offers a chance to pick out something different that wasn&#8217;t mass produced or advertised by an unnaturally slim model on TV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both the quality (excellent) and diversity (ditto) of the products for sale impressed me on my visit: I got plenty of Christmas shopping done here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Indeed, each floor and room of the host <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/sights\/urania\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"34177\">Urania building<\/a> felt like opening an advent calendar door to reveal new surprises and shopping treasures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div align=\"center\"><em>Ad:<\/em><br><\/div><div data-tiqets-widget=\"discovery\" data-cards-layout=\"horizontal\" data-slug-ids=\"exp206741,exp205287\" data-partner=\"visitingvienna\" data-tq-campaign=\"DA_Christmas\"><\/div><script defer src=\"https:\/\/widgets.tiqets.com\/loader.js\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Expect a wide range of products; I discovered everything from soaps to spices, lotions to leggings, cookies to cosmetics, cards and cups, art and accessories, bags, jewellery etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t, though, think of this as some high-nosed design fair. The atmosphere as I walked around was casual and friendly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In fact, you could often speak to the designers themselves if you wanted to learn more about what you&#8217;re buying. The 2026 dates are November 27th to 29th. Keep an eye on the <a href=\"http:\/\/weihnachtsquartier.at\/\">official website<\/a> for all the latest timings and info.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another short-term design market typically found in Vienna around Advent is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitingvienna.com\/entertainment\/events\/edelstoff\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"44071\">Edelstoff<\/a>.
